I never thought that I would be a teacher.
I don’t look “like a teacher.” I don’t dress “like a teacher,” and I certainly I don’t act “like a teacher.” But, I became one anyway, and I’ve cursed my former corporate cubicles ever since. High fives to the third career before the age of thirty. I really think I nailed it this time.
Ms. MacKenzie some days and Mme. MacKenzie others, I teach English, Core French, and Social Studies in British Columbia, Canada. Given the subjects that I teach, I’ve developed a particular interest in student engagement and integrated/cross-curricular learning.
